Putting the FUN back in FUNDRAISERS…

Dead Cat Comedy loves Charity. So much so that we’re helping some truly fantastic organisations run some super special Comedy Nights. There’s some terrible injustice in this world and Dead Cat wants to do its bit by bringing top quality comedians to entertain the supporters of excellent causes.hope not hate

This October Dead Cat proudly present two sensational shows for two sensational causes. Firstly, 8 Against Hate, come and support some anti-racist activism by laughing in the face of hate. We’ve booked a fabulous line-up with some of the most anarchic and politically driven comics we know. So, pop down to Sandbar on Wednesday 6th October for an unforgettable evening of Anti-Fascist Stand-up Comedy.

Secondly, Just Standing, a night of cutting cathartic comedy. Dead Cat has joined forces with Friends of London Road Fire Station who work tirelessly to inform the public of the mass apathy and neglect Britannia Hotels has subjected countless listed properties to over the last 27 years. We’ve booked yet another sensational and satirical line-up. Also, the show will be held at Star & Garter, Manchester’s most beloved bar. So, bob down on Tuesday 29th October and fight the good fight.

Both shows will be hosted by our resident compére RED REDMOND and will feature WILL SETCHELL and BETHANY BLACK, two of the most politically minded acts in the UK. Will has recently returned from Edinburgh Fringe where he performed his brand new solo show to sell-out rooms “Setchell’s breathless storytelling is timed perfectly… should have a far bigger stage, and very very soon”- The Skinny. Meanwhile, Bethany has been ransacking Britain’s Comedy Circuit with her unique comic identity which has lead her to be crowned Britain’s only Goth Lesbian Transgender Comedian “Bethany should prepare for world domination” – British Comedy Awards. Backing them up will be the brilliance of RICH J. WALL and JAY HAMPSON. Two of our favourite acts. Both Rich and Jay have had experience working with underprivileged households and know the importance of standing up for those society has left behind. They’ll be helping give a voice to the voiceless at these truly magnificent Comedy Nights.

Also, we love looking after our faithful audiences. So, with a Dead Cat Membership Card you can get a discounted entry into BOTH shows. That’s right! Just flash it on the door and we’ll knock a whole £2 off your entrance fee. Haven’t got a Dead Cat Member Ship Card yet? Pop down to our next show, Dead Cat Comedy Créche, and you can purchase one for a mere £5. Everybody wins!

Please please please spread the word and help make these nights a success. Dead Cat wants to continue to work with worthwhile causes such as these. Together we are strong. Together we can laugh in the face of oppression and bring some positive energy to some truly worrying issues.
