Manchester’s favourite Open Mic Comedy night rides again. RED REDMOND introduces a host of up and coming talent, including LEE PEART, GAYE JONES, PAUL IMRIE and MARVYN DICKINSON. We’ve also invited down two, YES TWO, circuit headliners: BEN SCHOFIELD and BEN LAWES. An excellent mixture of acts developing new comedy in a friendly environment. What’s not to love?
SKETCH DRUGS and ROCK n ROLL – 14th April – Sandbar

Improv arrives at Dead Cat Comedy Club under the guise of LEEDS’ DISCOUNT COMEDY CHECKOUT. An exquisite Improv troupe, serving up some of the finest Improv we’ve seen in years. Closing the show will be one of the wildest character acts in existence THE WHITE CHRIS ROCK. I know, insane! Our beloved compére RED REDMOND is away this week. Our first Edinburgh Preview show! RED REDMOND introduces Canada’s top comedy export JOHN HASTINGS. Winner of 2010 Homegrown Comedy Competition, John has moved to London and is regularly featured on BBC Radio 4. He’s currently tweaking his show for Edinburgh Festival 2014 and he wants the good people of Dead Cat to see it first. More acts TBA.
DEAD CAT COMEDY CLUB – 28th April – TV21

Our final show of the month. And it’s a real treat! The people’s champion WILL DUGGAN will resume MC duties. Meanwhile RED REDMOND will preview his Debut Solo Stand-up Show BLUE. Closing the show we have star of Sky1’s John Bishop’s Only Joking DAN NIGHTINGALE. Dan may well be the finest circuit comedian in the UK. Fast, friendly and unbelievably funny. 2014 will be Dan’s 3rd consecutive year at Edinburgh Festival and we’ve been hearing rave reports on his latest show. Come and see with your own eyes!
