10 Reasons why you should definitely go to MACE…

LOOK OUT! Dead Cat Comedy joins forces with Kosmonaut to bring you a monthly night of ground-breaking hilarity. We think you should definitely come.
So we have concocted a countdown of 10 reasons why…red redmond (2)

1. ONLY £5 ENTRY!

Really? Only £5? Sounds super cheap to me. That’s less than a bucket meal from KFC or a ticket to that movie you didn’t want to see anyway.

2. Everyone’s talking about it…

Manchester Evening News and Manchester Wire have run articles about this show already! You can read them here and here.
What are you waiting for? Come and see what all the fuss is about.

3. GEIN’S FAMILY GIFT SHOPweb-61-geins-family-giftshop-volume-1-1-lst137709

Arguably the UK’s best sketch group! Recently returned from a run of sell-out shows and 5star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They were nominated for BEST NEWCOMER at the festival and have since been cast in BBC’s new series of ‘Inside No. 9’. True comedy excellence. Not to be missed!

4. Venuekosmonaut2

Kosmonaut is gorgeous! Booths, brick walls and wooden floors. Truly one of the most stylish venue’s we’ve ever stepped foot in. The gig itself will be downstairs, a basement function room, giving the gig an unbeatable New York Comedy Club vibe.

5. Location

Our venue is situated in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. A central location in a vibrant part of town. Easy to find. Plenty of public transport.

6. RED REDMOND

A finalist of Chortle’s Student Comedian of the Year 2014. Red has recently finished filming his debut stand-up DVD which he hopes to release soon. An up and coming act who’s quick, quirky and almost likeable.

7. PHIL ELLIS

The most unpredictable act we have ever seen. Phil returns from a run of sell-out shows at Soho Theatre with his anarchic kids’ show Funz and Gamez. A master of the unlikely. Phil is fucking funny and unforgettable.

8. JACK EVANS & KATE McCABE

As if that line-up wasn’t enough, we’ve booked 2 of Manchester’s finest indie acts. Jack Evans (co-founder of Quip) somehow splices the surreal with the satirical, totally mental! Meanwhile, Kate McCabe (host of Sidekick Comedy) is livewire of charm and nerdy niceness.

9. Tickets are selling FAST!

MACE is proving to be more than popular. Half the tickets have already gone! To avoid disappointment, please buy your tickets online here.

10. What else are you gonna do?

I mean, c’mon. What else is there? Nothing on iPlayer. You’ve seen everything on Netflix. Why spend another night sat next to your loved ones, forcing conversation and pretending you love them? Bring them to MACE and turn that mutual resentment into unrelenting laughter.
